Week 30
How far along: 30 Weeks
Weight gain: so far 22 lbs (hunnie has gained 20 lbs! and meep weighs about 2 lbs so we're about even LOL)
How big is baby: Squash
Maternity clothes: Nothing new, like I said in the last post, I'm trying to avoid buying any new maternity clothes depending on how big I get in the next 10 or so weeks...
Best moment this week: Had a wonderful day yesterday at Marymoor dog park with the pups and got a little more color too which was nice. Such a beautiful summer day yesterday! And in Seattle fashion, today is gray with light rain, great day for napping and watching TV.
Movement: Yes, love all the movement, sometimes when I poke back meeps will kick or punch back too and we'll go back and forth like we're playing a game, it's so cute!
Food Cravings: Red Robin fries and honey mustard and an oreo shake, both cravings were quenched! Had a great impromptu Friday night dinner with Lils and Aaron at Oaxaca which we'd been meaning to try for some time, great mexican food!
Belly button in or out: Innie
What I miss: Nothing really, right now I'm more looking ahead and thinking of things that I will miss once baby is here...like sleep, sleeping in, being spontaneous like decided we're going to go to the city for dinner with friends...things like that, but I know it's going to be amazing having little baby in our lives and things will just be different from now on and that's the way life goes!
What I'm looking forward to: so excited for Anh Tuyen and Chi Kim to meet their baby girl Addison on Tuesday!

Week 29
How far along: 29 Weeks
Weight gain: About 22 lbs
How big is baby: Eggplant
Maternity clothes: grew out of one of my pre-preg scrub tops so I'm down to only 4 scrub tops that fit me so on Fridays I've been wearing one on my large stretchy tees from Target. Since there is only roughly 10 weeks left I don't want to buy anymore real maternity clothes that I won't be able to wear post-pregnancy.
Best moment this week: I always enjoy the weekends of course, this weekend started off with my first prenatal yoga class with Blossoming Yogis in Kirkland, there were about 12 other ladies there and it was a really great experiencing. We did a lot of stretching and breathing exercises that are supposed to help during labor contractions and also open the hips and pelvis for delivery. I'm really happy I opted for this instead of the childbirth class at the hospital, it's definitely more centered around what my birth plan ideals are. On Saturday we also made our weekendly trip to Costco, this time we went to Kirkland location because they were demo-ing the BlendTec and we've been wanting to get one. Not only is this going to be great for healthy smoothies but it's also going to be awesome for making homemade baby food! I had been reallly stuck on getting the Beaba Babycook baby food maker, it's so cute looking but it's definitely not as versatile as a blender that can be used throughout the lifespan. I admit though, I'm a sucker for cute looking things, marketer's dream LOL Hunnie came down with a bad cold/cough so we laid around watching TV and taking care of papabear.
Sunday was beautiful summer weather, we were going to meet up with Lils at the Ballard Farmers Market but then worried it might be too hot for the pups so we decided to go to Magnusen Dog Park so they could run and swim off some energy, it was so much fun and they were definitely exhausted afterwards. Felt great to be out in the sun and in the lake, I went out into the water up past my belly trying to call Coco back in so that she wouldn't get hit by a boat, got a nice tan that day ☺ ☼
Movement: Yupp lots of kicking, more so during the day and not so much in the middle of the night anymore which is nice. Seeing a lot of movement which is weird but also fascinating!
Food Cravings: Sunny summer weather always makes me feel like sushi
Belly button in or out: Innie
What I miss: (I confess! I'm post-journaling since this weekend was so busy I didn't have a chance to actually blog so I can't remember what I was missing)...oooo I do miss being able to see my face in the mirror, my belly has been preventing me from leaning in really close so the other day I realized that my eyebrows are super overgrown. For me they've been "outta sight, outta mind" which is bad because just because I can't see them doesn't mean that everyone else around me can't LOL I would like to avoid the cave-woman look if I can help it HAHA
What I'm looking forward to: hopefully a nice and as comfortable-as-can-be third trimester ☺

Week 28
How far along: 28 Weeks
Weight gain: About 22 lbs, gained roughly 4 lbs since my last check which is good.
How big is baby: Chinese Cabbage (I had to google this because I wasn't exactly sure what it was LOL)
Maternity clothes: My large scrubs I bought at 17-weeks are definitely getting snugger, patients are starting to realize that I'm pregnant. Got a couple cute comfy cotton sun dresses at Motherhood Maternity last weekend that I'm pretty excited about, love wearing dresses in the summer!
Best moment this week: Had Friday off with Hunnie for our appointment with the midwife, got to hear baby's heartbeat (150 bpm this week) and Hunnie got to feel baby's position with the midwife's help, head was down, back was towards my R side. Uterus is measuring 28cm which is right on track. We found out today that their is another scheduled U/S at 36 weeks so we're very excited about that! Lils was working up in Lynnwood today so we had lunch (or more like dim sum feast) with her at Zen Garden. Tomorrow I'm visiting Gigi and Hunnie has Salem's birthday at 10pm, I can't even imagine being out that late. Sunday Lils will be up in Lynnwood again so we're going to check out the Mill Creek Towne Center Festival with the pups. Oh, and hunnie built another shelving unit in the garage, he's such a good handyman, I love it!
Movement: Kicking lots, especially during massage therapy this morning. My massage was so wonderful! EDIT: Hunnie was able to see meepers kicking for the first time!! (Saturday July 16th at 12:52am, yes he made me remember the exact date/time LOL and yes we were up at 12:54am! Because I got a late night craving for Dick's Drive In burgers and dragged Hunnie out of bed all the way to Lake City and it was so worth it LOL)
Food Cravings: Hot dogs and sushi LOL
Belly button in or out: Innie
What I miss: This week I been thinking of my Gammas because Phuong is in Boston. I'm missing my dearest Jess in NYC and can't wait until she's a Cali girl again ☺ Missing Phuongy, Francie and my litto Aileen too ☺ Was looking back at wedding pics (can't believe that was only just shy of a year ago) and remembering how much fun we had!
What I'm looking forward to: Well, since I was a procrastinator and did not register for the childbirth classes at Evergreen in advance, they are now all full. After talking with Kathy and Stephanie I decided they probably would not be very worthwhile since I already have a basic knowledge of labor and delivery just from my nursing background. I'm more interested in learning techniques on breathing and relaxation so that I can avoid an epidural and pain meds if at all possible. Did some searching and found Blossoming Yogis that offers prenatal yoga classes on a drop-in basis on Saturday mornings and the price is pretty reasonable for a 2-hour session. I'm going to try out a class in a couple weeks here, pretty excited about it! They even offer a prenatal couples yoga class but they don't have one until Oct 14th otherwise I think that would be a great one for me and Hunnie! HAHA when I think of Hunnie and yoga I imagine him in spandex being really awkward LOL that cracks me up!

Week 27
How far along: 27 Weeks
Weight gain: as of last check, 17lbs...will find out more next week
How big is baby: Cauliflower
Maternity clothes: Been loving my BeBand leggings, so unbelievably comfy, love wearing them with long shirts (as pictured above). Hunnie hates these, he calls them my "spandex" LOL
Sleep: I LOVE SLEEPING ☺
Best moment this week: The weekend of course! Saturday we went to the Alderwood Mall and hit up the Nordstrom pre-anniversary sale and I got a Petunia Pickle Bottom Diaper Bag, these things are so pretty, and seeing as how this will be my "purse" for the next year or two, it's worth it to get something that is good quality and cute too (as said by Steph who has one and loves her). On Sunday we took the pups down to the Ballard Seafood Festival. Correction: we took them to Lils house and then walked all the way to the Seafood Fest, I was pretty impressed that I was able to manage the trek, we were walking for a total of 4 hours and by the end my feet felt like they were bleeding. But it was worth it because the crab melts (which I had last year as well) were delish! Can't wait for next year already LOL It was really a great time, good company, good food and the pups, can't ask for more! And sunshine too!
Movement: Still kicking lots, I think I'm getting more used to it because it's not as startling as it used to be. Dr. Xue gave me the book "What to Expect When You're Expecting" and it says babies are most actively moving between 24-28 weeks, maybe because after that space gets tight inside there.
Food Cravings: Gelato, which I got down at the market. Would pay some serious money for another crab melt though, next year I'm not splitting one with Hunnie LOL I want my own!
Belly button in or out: Innie
What I miss: My stamina but happy I am still able to be active when time allows. Hoping this will bode well for my labor/delivery.
What I'm looking forward to: 28-week check next week! Oh one other highlight of this week was that on Saturday I had my glucose intolerance test to check for gestational diabetes. It was first thing in the morning at 7am, I had been fasting for 12 hours, had to drink 75mL of Glucola which is basically super sugary flat orange soda (I chugged it like back in my clubbing days LOL the tech was pretty impressed). Then I had to kill 2 hours sitting in a recliner reading gossip magazines, 3 blood draws later I was finally finished. Good news, I am metabolizing sugar normally! Very thankful because I would be a terrible diabetic!

Week 26
How far along: 26 Weeks
Weight gain: as of last check, 17lbs
How big is baby: Hothouse Cucumber (not just any cucumber, they were very specific)
Maternity clothes: Warming up around here and I don't very many maternity dresses but I was miraculously able to squeeze into a pre-maternity dress from last summer (pictured above)
Sleep: Sleep has been great, really enjoying it. I really relish sleeping in on the weekends because I realize that this soon will become a distant memory...*tear*
Best moment this week: Such a productive weekend! On Saturday Lils came over with Roscoe and Ellie, we hung out with the pups in the backyard and even got a tan! We also gave all the dogs a bath, it was great! Earlier this week Koji has surgery for bladder stone and he's recovering very well, he was happy to see his buddy Ells and they had some solo-spitz time together, very cute! On Sunday, me and hunnie cleaned house like crazy, cleared out all the junk (old furniture, boxes, etc) from both the guest room and what is now the nursery. After a trip to both the dump and the Goodwill, it feels so nice to have the rooms and closets tidy, we worked really hard that day! We relaxed and watched a movie that night. On Monday, which was the fourth of July, we went down to Renton to spend some time at Anh Dang's with family. Ba, Vui and the kids were visiting from Spokane. Came home and worked in the yard a bit. Really hate that we live outside the city limits where setting off fireworks is not illegal because it sounded like a war zone outside until 1:30am in the morning, ridiculous! Hope little Cal next door was able to sleep through all that racket! Next year we are going to either go on vacation or stay in a hotel in the city.
Movement: I can now see the kicks sometimes! It's crazy!
Food Cravings: Was really craving Viet food this weekend, probably because we were at Anh Dang's house.
Belly button in or out: Innie although it is getting shallower...
What I miss: Being able to reach my toes comfortably LOL
What I'm looking forward to: Ballard Seafood Fest this coming weekend!
Weight gain: as of last check, 17lbs
How big is baby: Hothouse Cucumber (not just any cucumber, they were very specific)
